Research Cell of the College functions with the following aims and objectives

• To encourage teachers to develop their educational quality.
• To arrange the various lectures for the teachers at least two per year.
• To motivate the teachers to submit their minor projects according to the planning of IQAC
• To motivate the various departments for the preparation of proposal for seminars and workshops to be submitted to the UGC according to the IQAC planning.
• To motivate the teachers to participate in refresher, orientation and short term courses.
• To motivate the teachers to establish MOU among various sent has related to their subjects to consulting with IQAC.

District level Avishkar Research competition 2022 was organized by Chhtrpati Shahu College Kolhapur on 05-12-2022.In this competition three students of our college participated in the paper presentation. Prof.Mallikarjun R Shintre worked as team leader.

Research Work Completed in 2023-2024

The management of our institution always promotes the research activities to the faculty and students. We have developed special ecosystem for this purpose. The management and Principal promote the faculty to write and publish the research papers into the various national and international reputed journals with ISSN.Number of faculty writes books and chapters in books with ISBN. Our library is a rich source of knowledge. It provides number of reference books and reputed journals to the students and faculty for their research work. Library also provides WEB-OPAC facility to the faculty and students.We have well equipped science laboratories, where students and faculty do their research work. We have two computer labs with internet facilities for the students.

Every year, our students participate in ‘Avishkar Research Project Competition, organized by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. We suggest the students to prepare the projects. From them, some selected qualitative projects are displayed in the Avishkar Research Project Competition.

Our institution has a Research Committee. The main objective of the Committee is to inculcate research culture and attitude amoungest the teachers and the students.Some outcomes of this Research Committee are given below, which reflect an ecosystem in our institution for the innovation, creation, and transfer of knowledge.

1. 1. Seventeen  faculty members have been awarded Ph.D. degree.
   2. Seven faculty members are recognized as the Research Guide.
   3. Four students have completed Ph.D. under their guidance.
   4. Most of the teachers have published research papers in the Peer Reviewed and UGC recognized Journals and Proceedings of the Conferences.
   5. Teachers have contributed their writings in books/chapters in various reputed publications.
   6. We have organized two workshops in the year 2023-24 on various subjects.
   7. The institution has established Seventeen MOUs with various reputed institutions, with the purpose to extend the new areas for the study and research to the students and the faculty. Out of them two MOUs are established this year.
